Whilst most people think of meditation as a form of relaxation, stress release and having a calming effect which is all true, it can also be used to improve your mental capabilities, allowing you to remain focused for longer periods as well as retaining required information more quickly.
Other benefits of meditation include enhancing ones sporting prowess through greater focus and concentrate. Sports people also learn to endure pain, both mental and physical through the use of their mind to separate the pain from their train of thought so they are not distracted from their goal or commitment. This allows them to perform at their peak abilities on a more regular and sustained level.
Meditation also offers better balance health wise, inner peace and harmony.
It allows you greater control over the chemical balance in your body that can make you depressed, fearful, anxious or hyperactive plus numerous other emotional feelings during times of weakness. Meditation allows the mind to change the chemistry in your brain at will that produce the various imbalances which cause these extreme emotions.
Once you exhaust or achieve all the above and more through meditation it is then time to explore a higher state of consciousness. You begin to ask yourself whether you want to go deeper within yourself and what are the possibilities beyond the norm.
Meditating on a regular basis allows you to establish a zone, a place of sanctuary where you reside, a place where you are most comfortable. Regular meditation allows you to return to this place, this zone to achieve the peace, harmony and balance it provides.
However, you begin to discover that this zone also offers other doorways that require investigation if you so wish???
It becomes your choice to follow through and walk through these doors and explore what possibilities await you should you choose to enter…
Behind these doors is where you begin to discover higher states of consciousness beyond your normal means of thinking or understanding or reflecting. Something that is completely new to your senses a place where very few have traveled or been, such as the true masters of their time.
They passed through the doorways, taken the steps into the next level and that is the place they would reside opposed to the first level or sanctuary or zone that meditation originally takes you. Transcending you into a place of greater awareness, of greater beauty and elegance that provides you with greater clarity and answers to all sought of questions.
Once you begin to reside in this zone you become aware of other doorways and again you have a choice to remain in your comfort zone or continue the journey and further your horizons and so it goes with each new level providing an opportunity to progress further and deeper and deeper until reach a level so profound the experience allows you teach others seeking the same journey.
Those who have experience such enlightenment must attempt to provide a blueprint for others to follow.
